when to use a facial serum?

The facial serum is applied twice a day, morning and evening, before applying your moisturizer.

You can use a different serum for morning and evening.

For example: you have dehydrated skin that lacks radiance: you can use a vitamin C serum in the morning and a hyaluronic acid serum in the evening.

The serum is always applied after double cleansing the skin. Double cleansing allows for deep cleansing and unclogging of pores, the active ingredients contained in the serum can therefore go deeper into the skin for tenfold effects.

The serum is always applied before the moisturizer and SPF , because the texture of the serum is finer.

Especially since the moisturizer aims to protect the skin by forming a film on its surface; this also helps to better preserve the serum at the heart of the skin and cells so that it does not evaporate.

how to use a facial serum?

  • On skin previously cleansed using the double cleansing technique to allow the active ingredients to penetrate deeply and not be blocked by residual impurities
  • Before applying the serum ,

apply a mist or toner to moisten the skin. This is very useful because the skin is more permeable when moistened, and the serum is thus better assimilated by the skin. This allows the serum to act more deeply and obtain better effects.

  • Take a few drops of your serum. 4 or 5 drops are enough as the serum is a very concentrated product. We prefer the drops in the palm of the hands, and not the pipette directly on the face because by coming into contact with the skin, it then risks “contaminating” the whole serum when it is put back in the serum. This alters the quality and effectiveness of the serum in the long term.
  • Warm the product

in the palms of your hands using circular movements, palm against palm. This promotes immediate effectiveness of the serum.

  • Apply the product to the entire face using gentle tapping movements (as if you were tapping on your face), applying draining pressure with the palm of your hands. Applying pressure allows the skin to better absorb the product for deep penetration of the active ingredients into the skin.
  • We also don’t forget the neck and décolleté , which are two particularly fragile areas that need attention.
  • Finish your skincare routine by applying a moisturizer that hydrates and protects the skin while trapping the skin’s serum to prevent it from escaping and becoming ineffective. In the morning, complete the moisturizer by applying an SPF that protects the skin from UV rays, even when you don’t leave the house or the weather is bad: UV rays hide everywhere and lead to a loss of radiance, wrinkles, brown spots and even a loss of firmness.
